A Dash of Lavender
Connor has curated Chelsea Physic Garden’s ‘Dash of Lavender’ exhibition since 2024. This exhibition coincides with LGBTQ+ History Month and challenges perceptions of what is considered “natural” or “unnatural”. Connor researched and designed a nature trail around Chelsea Physic Garden, selecting plants and animals with lifecycles that don’t conform to societal norms. He also designed a series of suspended flags and interpretation boards. See guide book.

Botanica in Bloom
Connor was commissioned by Chelsea Physic Garden to design 5 flags and 30 interpretation signs as part of their exhibition “Botanica in Bloom”, marking the 30th anniversary of the Garden’s Florilegium Society. Connor used the digitised artwork of 30 artworks to create the display, which aimed to showcase the talent of the artists and the fine details of the paintings. Connor also produced a collage, with a sliced Quince as the central focus. This collage was used for the exhibition’s marketing campaign.

Tower of London Sensory Map
Connor was commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces to develop a dementia-friendly fold-out guide for the Tower of London’s moat. Connor designed an accessible map highlighting rest stops, toilets, and slopes. The map also features points of interest around the moat and identifies sensory plants and insects to explore. Connor created custom illustrations of the plants and animals found in the moat. This fold out guide is offered free to visitors at the Tower of London.

Coopersale Forest Community Map
Connor was commissioned by Coopersale Community Group in Essex to design a map for adults and families which explained the importance of their local nature reserve, Gernon Bushes. After speaking with the community about the plants and animals that were important to them, Connor produced a map, which was printed out and given to all school children in the village. On the back of the map was a series of activities for children to undertake whilst in the nature reserve.
